John Heffron DDS
Dr. Heffron was born and raised in Kingston, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate studies at Villanova University. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry in 1969. He continued his post-graduate training with his internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.
A founding partner with Southern Maryland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Heffron has an undisputed reputation as a talented surgeon and humanitarian.
Currently, Dr. Heffron is affiliated with Washington Hospital Center and Civista Surgery Center. He has been a clinical instructor with the residency program at the Washington Hospital Center for over 25 years.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Middle Atlantic Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Maryland Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Personally, Dr. Heffron enjoys spending time with his wife, Marilyn, his 3 children and 5 grandchildren. His hobbies include family travel, skiing, and golf.
