Amro Shihabi, D.M.d., M.D.


Amro Shihabi, D.M.D., M.D. earned his doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He subsequently completed an internship in general surgery at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. He trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland / A Cowley Shock Trauma Center and did a fellowship in Maxillofacial Oncology and Microvascular reconstruction at the University of Maryland.

Dr Shihabi previously served as the Section Chief of Head and Neck Oncology/ Microvascular reconstruction and the Director of Training at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Christiana Health Center prior to Joining our Practice.

Dr. Shihabi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS). He is member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.  Dr Shihabi is active in local societies and currently is treasurer & secretary of the Maryland Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Vice President of the Patuxent Dental Society. He is a clinical instructor at Howard University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center.  He holds numerous awards including University of Pennsylvania’s International Dentist Award. He spends his free time with his family and two kids enjoying outdoor activities and traveling.
